You can apply a specific Exchange ActiveSync device policy to a user and manage the mobile devices that the user is synchronizing with their mailbox.
How do I edit the ActiveSync device policy on a user's mailbox?
-
Select Manage My Organization > Users & Groups > Mailboxes.
-
In the Mailboxes list, select a user, and then click Details.
-
Under Phone & Voice Features, select Exchange ActiveSync, and then click Edit.
-
Edit the Exchange ActiveSync settings for the user:
- Status Verify that Exchange ActiveSync is enabled or disabled for this user. You disable and enable Exchange ActiveSync on the Mailbox page under Phone & Voice Features.
- Exchange ActiveSync device policy Click Browse to change the policy that you want to apply to this user.
Note Users are automatically assigned the default policy unless you explicitly assign a different device policy.
- Mobile Devices From this list of the mobile devices that this user is synchronizing, you can create personal exemptions by blocking or allowing devices for this user, get additional details about a device, or remotely wipe the device if the device supports remote device wipe. You can also select a device and create a device access rule that applies to that device for all users.
