You can configure more than one e-mail address for the same mailbox. This additional e-mail address, known as a proxy address, is associated with the user's primary address. Any e-mail sent to the other e-mail address is delivered to the user's primary e-mail address.

Add other e-mail addresses

  1. Select Manage My Organization > Users & Groups > Mailboxes.

  2. In the mailbox list, select the mailbox that you want to add an additional address to and click Details.

  3. In the Mailbox dialog box, expand E-Mail Options. Notice that the user's primary e-mail address is displayed here.

  4. Under Other e-mail addresses, click Add.

  5. In the Add an e-mail address dialog box, in the E-mail address field on the left side of the @ symbol, type the alias. It has to be unique in the domain.

Note   If any accepted domains are configured for your organization, the names of those domains appear in the domain name drop-down list. What's an accepted domain? See Accepted Domains.

  6. Select the domain name from the drop-down list on the right side of the @ symbol. If no accepted domain is configured, only one domain name will be available.

  7. Click OK to close the Add an-email address dialog box and return to the Mailbox dialog box.

  8. To save your changes, click Save.

Remove other e-mail addresses

  1. Select Manage My Organization > Users & Groups > Mailboxes.

  2. In the mailbox list, select the mailbox that you want to remove the other e-mail address from and click Details.

  3. In the Mailbox dialog box, expand E-Mail Options.

  4. Under Other e-mail addresses, select the address that you want to remove, and click Remove.

  5. You can repeat the previous step to remove other addresses.

  6. To save your changes, click Save.
