You can change the password for your account using the Options page.

How do I change my password?

  1. In Outlook Web App, click Options. On the Account page, click Change your password. The next steps will vary depending on the service you use to access your account.
  2. If clicking Change your password takes you to the Windows Live account page at http://accounts.live.com:
    1. In the upper right corner of the page, click the arrow next to your name, and then click View your account. You may need to sign in to continue.
    2. On the Account page, change your password one of the following ways:
      Under Password reset information, next to Password, click Change.
      In the left menu, click Password and PINs. Then, under Password reset information,next to Password, click Change.
      In the Change your password window, enter your old password, and then enter your new password twice. You can choose to have your password expire every 72 days.
    3. Click Save, and then close the Account browser window.
  3. If clicking Change your password takes you to the Password tab in Options:
    1. Enter your current password.
    2. Enter your new password twice.
    3. Click Save.

What else do I need to know?

Depending on your mailbox settings, you may not be able change your password using the Options page. For example, this could happen if your mailbox is managed by a school or a business. If you can't change your password using either of the preceding sets of instructions, contact your helpdesk.
