Use the Password tab to reset your password.

To change your password, navigate to Options > See All Options > Settings > Password. You can also change your password by navigating to Options > Change Your Password.

Setting Description

Domain\user name

This is filled in automatically.

Old password

Enter your current password.

New password

Enter your new password.

Confirm new password

Enter your new password again.

Click Save to save your new password.

What else do I need to know?

  • Most e-mail accounts require a minimum number of characters or a minimum level of complexity for passwords. The requirements are set by your administrator. For information about the password requirements for your account, contact your Helpdesk.

  • To help make your password more secure, you can:

    • Use a minimum of eight characters (your account may require more or fewer).

    • Use a mix of capital and lowercase letters.

    • Use numerals in addition to letters.

    • Include punctuation or other non-alphanumeric characters.

  • Depending on the settings for your account, you may not be able to change your password by using Outlook Web App. If you don't see the Password tab, either the feature has been disabled by your administrator or you have to change your password by using Windows Live.
