Outlook Web App isn't the only way to access your Exchange mailbox. You can also access your mailbox from Outlook, from a mobile phone that supports Exchange ActiveSync, and from any email program that supports the POP or IMAP protocols. For more information, see E-Mail Setup.

What else do I need to know?

  • If you're using a Web browser that's fully supported, you can switch from the light version of Outlook Web App to the standard version of Outlook Web App. There are two ways to switch between the light and standard versions of Outlook Web App. After you've switched, you must sign out and sign back in for the change to take effect. For more information about supported Web browsers, see Outlook Web App Supported Browsers.

    • When you sign in, look for Use the light version of Outlook Web App on the sign-in page. If it is there, and the tick box is selected, click to clear the tick box and switch to the standard version of Outlook Web App.

    • After you've signed in, click Options > Accessibility and clear the Use the blind and low vision experience tick box.

      noteNote:
These two settings are independent of each other. If you're using a supported Web browser and see the light version of Outlook Web App, you may have to look at both the sign-in page and the Options page to find the tick box to clear.
